Important Notice: PCI Proxy API Downtime Incident from 19th & 20th October
Incident Report for PCI Proxy
Resolved
Dear Customers,

We would like to inform you about a recent incident affecting our platform. On October 19th and 20th, we experienced downtime due to carding attacks targeting several merchant accounts.

Actions Taken:
- Our immediate response involved switching from the active system to a backup, ensuring continued service availability.
- A hotfix was deployed last night to close the identified attack vector. Since then, the system has been stable, despite ongoing attempts by malicious actors.
- To further reduce load and prevent future disruptions, we have manually blocked access from countries associated with fraudulent activity for the affected merchants.

Next Steps: Our team is actively investigating the root cause of increased resource consumption for certain merchant accounts, which seems to be linked to the carding attacks. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as necessary.

We will update you with a more detailed incident report asap.

If you have any questions or require further information, please contact our support team at support@pci-proxy.com.

Thank you for your continued trust and understanding.

Best regards,

PCI Proxy Team
